Ocean View Large guest room

We stayed in the Ocean View Large guest room! The layout was incredibly spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed, featuring a lovely bathtub to soak in and completely unwind. From the perfect amenities to the spectacular, unobstructed panoramic view of the sparkling ocean right from our window, absolutely everything about this room was pure perfection.

The Merlin Garden

Much like the famous JW Gardens, the resort features its very own hidden treasure: The Merlin Garden! This beautifully curated kitchen garden is where the resort organically grows a wonderful variety of traditional Thai herbs and essential local vegetables. Walking through the fragrant rows of lemongrass, basil, and chilies is incredibly relaxing, and knowing these fresh ingredients go straight into your dinner makes every meal extra special.

We loved the Tomato Bruschetta (180 THB), the rich and creamy Lobster Soup (380 THB) with tender rock lobster, a fiery Arrabbiata (320 THB), and the star of the night—the decadent Risotto Alla Pescatora (360 THB) packed with fresh seafood.

Evening Cheers: Izakaya Style “Kanpai” For a fun, relaxed evening, we enjoyed a fantastic Japanese spread with our cold drinks. Featuring classic Edamame, melt-in-your-mouth Beef Tataki with tangy ponzu, and exceptionally fresh, thick-cut Sushi & Sashimi that completely rivaled traditional Japanese restaurants!

Flavorful Dinner: Indian Specialties at Merchant Kitchen Located right by the pool, Merchant Kitchen serves an absolutely incredible dedicated Indian menu that blew us away! From aromatic, slow-simmered curries with deep spice blends to fluffy naan fresh from the tandoor, every dish was masterfully prepared and deeply comforting.

Bold Feast: Traditional Thai Dinner A spectacular family-style feast showcasing authentic local recipes! We ordered a magnificent lineup: spicy Tom Yum, refreshing Som Tum & Gai Yang (papaya salad & grilled chicken), rich and velvety Poo Phad Pong Curry (crab curry), zesty Pla Nueng Manao (steamed lime fish), and Phak Miang (stir-fried southern greens)—pure flavor perfection.

Beachside Lunch: Beach Grill For a laid-back, beautiful lunch right by the sand under the palm trees: the crisp and vibrant signature Merlin Salad, the legendary thick and juicy Marriott Burger served with golden crispy fries, and a comforting bowl of hearty Beef Spaghetti.
