The Westin Grande Sukhumvit Bangkok

The Westin Grande Sukhumvit, Bangkok

Following our stays at the Sheraton Grande and Marriott Surawongse, we checked into The Westin Grande Sukhumvit, Bangkok, located right in the heart of Asoke. During our 3-day, 2-night stay, we thoroughly indulged in the hotel’s refined culinary offerings!

Directly Connected to BTS & MRT

One of the hotel’s absolute best features is its incredible location—just steps away from both BTS Asok Station and MRT Sukhumvit Station. Traveling anywhere in Bangkok is seamless. The surrounding area is packed with conveniences, including the famous Terminal 21 shopping mall, countless restaurants, and massage shops.

Even better, the hotel building is directly connected to Robinson Department Store and a Tops Supermarket. It is no exaggeration to say that you will rarely find a hotel in Bangkok more convenient than this!

Spacious Deluxe Rooms & Functional Bathrooms

We stayed in a Deluxe Room, which is the entry-level category here, yet it feels surprisingly spacious and comfortable.

What truly sets it apart for a standard room is the bathroom—the size, layout, and functionality are extraordinary, making our daily routine completely hassle-free. Of course, the room features Westin’s iconic Heavenly Bed®, which worked like magic to melt away our travel fatigue. There is even a Heavenly Bed display showroom right next to the reception area! Once you experience sleeping on this bed, it is easy to see why so many guests become lifelong repeaters.

Gourmet Dining & Afternoon Tea Delights Inside the Hotel

Beyond our room, we fully embraced the rich culinary experiences and lounge privileges throughout the hotel:

  • Buffet Lunch at Kisso Japanese Restaurant: We dined at Kisso, one of Bangkok’s most highly acclaimed Japanese restaurants. The lavish lunch buffet features top-quality fresh ingredients and authentic Japanese dishes that exceeded all expectations. Taking advantage of the Marriott Bonvoy “Eat Out” promotion made this fine dining experience surprisingly affordable—and it’s a fantastic deal since it applies to both lunch and dinner!

  • Elegant Mango & Coconut Afternoon Tea: We enjoyed a delightful afternoon tea in a tranquil setting. Featuring a theme of mango and coconut blended with subtle Thai dessert influences, the flavors were remarkably palate-friendly and delicious. While we usually can’t finish an entire high tea set, we polished off every single bite this time!

  • Happy Hour & Evening Cocktails: In the evening, we headed over for cocktail time. The specialty cocktails crafted by the skilled bartenders were exceptional. Pro tip: Happy Hour starts at 5:00 PM with 50% off select cocktails—a time slot you definitely shouldn’t miss!

  • A Refreshing & Flavorful Breakfast Buffet: The breakfast buffet offers a vibrant lineup of international dishes. We were particularly impressed by the abundance of fresh produce, rich fruit selections, and daily fresh smoothies—a level of freshness that is truly rare to see! The live open kitchens serve hot, made-to-order dishes, and the authentic Indian dishes prepared by the hotel’s Indian chef are another highly recommended highlight.

With its top-tier facilities, remarkably comfortable rooms, exceptional dining options, and unmatched location with zero travel stress, this property easily ranks among our top 10 favorite hotels in all of Bangkok. It is also very welcoming for Japanese travelers, with Japanese-speaking staff available on site. Overall, a top recommended choice for your Bangkok getaway!
