Center of Old City | Tamarind Village Chiang Mai

What surprised me when I stayed at Tamarind Village was that the location was convenient. You can walk to famous temples such as Wat Chedi Luang and Wat Chiang Man.

Also, the street in front of the hotel becomes the Sunday market, so it is very convenient to stay on Sundays.
Located in the moat of the old town, it is a great hotel for those who want to stay in Chiang Mai Old Town. I also walked to the Saturday Market.
Deluxe Room

We stayed in a deluxe room located on the 2nd floor of Tamarind Village. Tamarind Village is a nice hotel with a good old town atmosphere in a two-storey building.

Of course, there is no elevator, so it is recommended that you pack your luggage to a minimum when staying on the second floor.

Due to the high ceiling, the room feels larger than it actually is. It was easy to use because the restroom area was large and could be separated by a door.

The interior of the room is very nice and tasteful, with particular attention to amenities and decoration. The trash can of the basket woven like Chiang Mai, the decorations related to ethnic minorities, the disturb tag, the tableware and soap are all fashionable. Room 2205 has a balcony on a different side from the entrance and has chairs.

The chair overlooks the tamarind tree. There are various room types, so please check the hotel website carefully and select the room you want.
Tamarind Tree
The tamarind tree, a large tree in the middle of the hotel, is a symbol of the hotel. The landscaped gardens and this huge tree provide healing.

Named after the 200-year-old Tamarind Tree, Tamarind Village welcomes guests with genuine northern hospitality.
Afternoon Tea

Afternoon tea can be enjoyed by the pool at Tamarind Village. Afternoon tea carried in a three-dimensional tray.

It is an afternoon tea that is very easy to eat, with half and half of sweet and salty foods, including appetizers, puddings, and cakes.

Afternoon tea at a calm hotel in the old city of Chiang Mai is the best.

It is a recommended afternoon tea to enjoy the afternoon time at Tamarind Village.
Pool

The Tamarind Village pool is located between the restaurant and the reception and is a quiet pool surrounded by buildings.

A nice pool with chic orange umbrellas. The breakfast venue will open from 7 o’clock, so the poolside will be lively. It is a place where people are constant from morning till night.

It is a very nice space with the image of an oasis in the old town.
Braekfast

Breakfast at Tamarind Village is served by the pool.

The air-conditioned restaurant during the day also becomes an open-style breakfast venue in the morning, making it a very pleasant venue.

The breakfast at the fashionable hotel was very fashionable and the dishes were very nice. Through breakfast and Tamarind Village, I felt that Chiang Mai is a city of art.
Lunch

I had lunch at the hotel restaurant. Since it is located in the old town, there are many restaurants around the hotel, but if you want delicious northern cuisine, Tamarind Village is the place to go.

I had a salad of Khao soi, Genhalle and Mian. All are very delicious on the northern menu.

When it comes to northern cuisine, I think you’ll have more opportunities to eat at restaurants rather than at the cafeteria, but when exploring the old town, Tamarind Village’s northern cuisine is recommended.

Summery of Tamarind Village
Tamarind Village is recommended for those who want to fully enjoy the old town. You can walk to the temples and the hotel itself has the taste of an old town.

Chiang Mai has a lot of nice small resorts, which is the charm of Chiang Mai. This Tamarind Village is recommended for those who want to enjoy a stay like Chiang Mai.
