Beautiful Secret Beach of the southernmost “Yanui Beach”

Location

From Cape Promthep, a famous sunset spot located at the southern tip of Phuket, go down the mountain road in the direction of Nai Harn for about 500 m to reach Yanui Beach. There is space for motorcycles and cars on the beach, and it has a peaceful atmosphere. On the way down the slope from Cape Promthep, you can already see Yanui Beach, which is marked by a large rock, and beyond that you can see Naiharn Beach. If you are going from Naihan Beach, you will be on your way to Promthep Cape.

Beach

The beach was divided into two by a large rock, and the small beach in the back was relaxing as if the family was immersed in the pool. People playing in rental canoes or SUP board, people wearing snorkels and looking into the water, dogs came to the bath. I am enjoying each of them as I wish. The beach seems to be designated as Virgin Beach, and the shops and umbrellas that used to exist have now been removed. (As of December 2018) As the name suggests, Virgin Beach has nothing but in principle.

Restaurant

There are 3 restaurants across the road from Yanui Beach. I think it's a simple open-air shop that is reasonably priced and easy to use. It is fashionable that the restaurant is covered with sand in an atmosphere like an extension of the beach.

Surrounding Sightseeing Points

From Yanui Beach towards Naihan Beach, there is a small two-way junction on the way, which goes up to the left. The distance is about 500m. This is the Windmill View Point.

The view from the Windmill Viewpoint. It leads to Yanui Beach below, Cape Promthep beyond, and Naiharn Beach, where several cruisers are anchored offshore on the right. It is one of the best viewpoints in Phuket, where you can enjoy a relaxing landscape in the deep blue sky and sea. Sala is built here, and there is a shop nearby. You can park your car for free on the premises of a power facility called Promthep Energy Station, which has a windmill.
