The Royal Paradise Hotel&Spa

The Royal Paradise Hotel&Spa

We stayed at Royal Paradise Hotel in Phuket.

Speaking of Royal Paradise, it is the original Patong Beach hotel and a long-selling hotel.

The huge Tower Hotel is a symbol hotel of Patong Beach, somewhat similar to DisneySea’s Tower of Terror.

The 2022 refurbished pool is the centerpiece of the new pool, and the pre-Corona refurbished Jim Thompson-style Premier Room is also a signature room at Royal Paradise.

Premier Room with Partial Sea View

Premier Rooms are guest rooms located on the upper floors of the Royal Wing (high tower building). The elevator that moves to the room is an observation elevator, and I was surprised to see Patong Beach. It is a rare facility for a long-established hotel to have a view of the entire elevator.

There was fun going up and down to the room, and I enjoyed the view many times in the hotel, such as the color of the Patong sea changing depending on the time of day.

The room we stayed in was on the 18th floor! It is quite high rise!

The first thing that caught my eye was that even the high-rise building on the 18th floor has a balcony. And sea view! There is an elevator on the sea side, and I thought that the rooms facing the sea were limited, but I was convinced and impressed by the oblique balcony so that I could see the sea view from the side.

I was surprised because I didn’t expect Royal Paradise to have such a great view of the ocean from its location a little behind the beach.

If you are going to stay at Royal Paradise, the partial sea view room on the upper floor is recommended.

The Jim Thompson pattern is used throughout the room, making it a simple yet stylish room. I really like the refreshing blue.

The room is spacious enough to accommodate 3 people with an extra bed.

The bathtub was also lovely with lovely tiles. There is also a bathtub, so you can relax in the bathtub, which is a great point for Japanese people.

The washbasin was large, and when the door was opened, it was connected to the room, and the bathroom was clean.

Patong Beach has many nightclubs, but perhaps because it’s on the 18th floor, or because the windows are soundproof, it’s quiet and comfortable when closed at night. I was able to sleep soundly until morning. The bed mat was also on my body, and it was a too comfortable stay.

Happy hour to the poolside!

Happy hour is held poolside.

If you order 1 drink, you get 1 drink free, so you have to go! Moreover, the refurbished pool area is stylish and comfortable.

There are also cabanas, sofa seats, and a poolside bar, so you can have a drink while swimming in the pool.

The pool is open from 7:00 in the morning and is crowded with many people from the morning. The busiest time is in the evening.

Rooftop Bar

There is a rooftop bar when you go up to the 24th floor. They also have happy hour here and you can get drinks at reasonable prices. Before going up to The Royal Kitchen, it is recommended to have a drink here first and then go to dinner.

Dinner at The Royal Kitchen

Royal Paradise is one of the few hotels in Phuket with an authentic Chinese restaurant. The long-established Royal Kitchen is a well-known restaurant where the name of Royal Kitchen always comes up when speaking of Chinese food in Patong Beach.

It is a royal kitchen where you can order your favorite menu à la carte. I received the Peking duck that is currently being promoted.

The sour “Szechwan” soup was also delicious,

and the stir-fried spinach, scallops, and peppers were also delicious with the Chinese soup stock.

The fried rice contained chicken and salted fish, and the saltiness was an addictive fried rice.

The tightening is fried plum mochi. It’s a wonder of Chinese dessert that the sweet and sour taste goes into the stomach that should have been full. Chinese sweets that are always in a situation where you can’t eat anymore, but you’ll have another stomach for dessert.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served at the coffee shop on the 2nd floor.

The venue is currently open for breakfast only.

A wide range of buffet-style menus are available, so guests staying multiple nights can change the menu according to their mood for the day.

There are also Indian curry and Western food menus, and Thai food also has porridge, salad & fruits.

Think of food loss and take as much as you can eat! There was a poster that said, I thought it was an eco-friendly hotel. If you have a poster, you can take as much as you can eat, and if you have room in your stomach, you might want to come back later. Actually, thanks to the posters, many people brought a small amount just like everyone else, which I thought was good.

Casablanca

There is an Indian restaurant in the Royal Wing behind the pool.

It’s a pretty pink restaurant. When I came to Phuket, I had the impression that there were a lot of Indian dishes.

Indian food was served at the breakfast venue, but if you really want to eat it, go to Casablanca for lunch or dinner!

An authentic Indian chef shows his skills and entertains you with Indian cuisine.

We had the standard chicken masala and chicken biryani (saffron rice), an easy-to-eat and delicious Indian dish. The chef seems to recommend lamb, but this time I served chicken.

They also have tandoori chicken.

Since it is right next to the pool side, there are also pool side seats that can be used even in swimsuits.

Summary of The Royal Paradise Hotel

Located in the central area of Patong Beach, the location is excellent. 5 minutes walk to Bangla Road and Jungceylon. The area around the hotel is a complex, where you can find everything. The restaurants in the hotel are also very particular about food, the Chinese restaurant The Paradise Kitchen and the Indian restaurant Casablanca are highly recommended.

Although it is a restaurant in the hotel, it is not expensive and is worth using.
