2 Bedroom Residence

Marriott Surawongse has many guest rooms with views of Mahanakhon Tower.

A very popular room with a typical Bangkok view. This time I stayed in a two-bedroom residence type guest room.

The guest rooms are chic and relaxing, with wide windows and large sofas.

The living space between the rooms was spacious enough, and the view and facilities were perfect. All rooms have a view and are the best rooms to enjoy the scenery.

Since it is a residence type, there is a kitchen and a washing machine, both of which I felt were convenient facilities for those staying for more than a week. We have all the kitchen supplies, so you can start cooking right away. Instruction manuals for the washing machine and dishwasher are always kept in the room, and I don’t know how to use them! Care has been taken to ensure that this does not happen. (These details are actually important!)

There are 2 bathrooms, but the main bath is in the master bedroom. The bathtub is only available in the master room. A somewhat Japanese-style bathroom. The bathtub and the shower space are separated like a Japanese bathroom.

I especially liked the sofa next to the window in the master room. It had a very spacious sofa and I could see Mahanakhon Tower from this window.

Dinner at Kissuisen

We had dinner at the new Japanese restaurant “Kissuisen” in Bangkok Marriott Hotel Surawongse. This Japanese restaurant has just opened.

It is located in a separate building from the hotel, and each floor has a different concept. Divided into the philosophical “Five Dynasties” elements of Earth (Izakaya), Fire (Private rooms and Teppanyaki), Wind (Omakase), and Water (Sake bar), it is truly a gourmet hideaway.

This time we had Teppanyaki in the fire room. Omakase allows you to enjoy authentic kaiseki cuisine in the Kaze no Ma.

When you think of Marriott Group Teppanyaki, the first thing that comes to mind is Benihana, which has the image of a fire, but this Teppanyaki is the orthodox one!

It was supposed to be, but since the chef trained at Benihana, he is able to entertain with his brilliant kaeshi. Although there was no fire, they did warm-up exercises at a good pace and had fun.

When you choose a teppanyaki main dish, it comes with garlic rice, stir-fried vegetables, miso soup, pickled vegetables, and dessert, and the chef will perform the teppanyaki in front of you.

When professionally grilled, delicious ingredients become even more delicious and magical. The three of us ate Tajima beef tenderloin, chicken thighs, Hokkaido scallops, and Aomori salmon, and all of them were delicious.

Doesn’t it make the food even more delicious to wait for it to bake right in front of you while feeling the aroma, steam, and fire?

It’s fun and delicious, so it’s a good kissuisen. The atmosphere is upscale, so I was prepared to head there, but the chef’s kaeshi techniques immediately warms up the atmosphere, so you can relax as you begin your meal.

Even the desserts will be made in front of you. Isn’t this quite rare even among Teppanyaki restaurants?

We also received special anmitsu from the izakaya and dessert from the omakase restaurant, giving us the perfect taste of Japan.

I would definitely like to visit Omakase, an izakaya restaurant where I only had a few desserts this time, again.

Infinity Pool on 18^th Floor

The highlight of Bangkok Marriott Hotel Surawongse, a very popular hotel in the Bangrak area of Bangkok, is the infinity pool on the 18th floor.

It can be used from 6am to 10pm, and the view of Mahanakhon Tower from the pool is wonderful.

This is a hotel where you can capture very photogenic scenes.

The Lobby Lounge

At the lobby lounge on the first floor of the Bangkok Marriott Hotel, you can enjoy an afternoon tea set every afternoon.

The afternoon tea set, which changes every month, is very attractive. 1189B++ is a wonderful lounge that can be used as a cafe all day long as it is reasonably priced for 2 people and has a full drink and food menu.

Praya Kitchen

Praya Kitchen is an all-day dining restaurant. We serve Thai cuisine with a concept of reviving the traditional Thai recipes of our childhood.

Using classic Thai recipes, they turn them into amazing dishes that usually don’t grace the menus of high-end hotel restaurants.

True to the concept of the restaurant, everything on the menu at Paraya Kitchen is so delicious that you can’t help but eat way too much.

You can fully enjoy luxurious Thai cuisine prepared by our chef at our lunch and dinner buffets.

For dinner, our famous seafood wall is lined with fresh seafood, and you can order it in your favorite cooking style.

High-quality beef is also lined up in the meat corner, and the chef will grill it for you.

The sushi corner also makes delicious nigiri on the spot.

There is always a bartender at the drink corner where you can order drinks.

I think it’s rare to find a buffet with so much variety. Even if you try to eat a little bit of everything, you won’t be able to taste it all in one sitting unless you have a big stomach.

Yao Rooftop Bar

After eating at Praya Kitchen, we went straight to the rooftop bar.

Yao Rooftop Bar is Bangkok’s first rooftop bar that mainly serves Chinese food, and where you can fully enjoy the night view of Bangkok. Marriott Hotel Bangkok Surawongse is the only place where you can enjoy dim sum and authentic Chinese food at the rooftop bar.

With views of the glittering skyline on one side and the historic Old Town on the other, this bar is the perfect place to enjoy late-night snacks and Oriental-inspired cocktails.

The view from the 33rd floor is a jewel-like view of Bangkok’s cityscape.

Breakfast at Praya Kitchen

Breakfast is also served at Praya Kitchen, and the breakfast variety is second to none.

I was surprised to see that it was displayed the same way as lunch and dinner. A late breakfast turns into a solid brunch.

There is also a special drink menu such as coffee of the day, and there is a kiss daffodil, so you can enjoy a breakfast buffet that is a little different from other hotels.

The signature dishes are well displayed and easy to understand, making mornings in Surawongse a fun one.

The Garden

Marriott Surawongse has a ballroom and a very nice garden next to the ballroom. The colonial-style building has a strong presence and is a space that will make you forget that you are in the central area of Bangkok.

This area can also be used as a meeting room or wedding party venue, making it a wonderful space.

The garden is also the perfect venue for open-style weddings. When there are no events, you can take a walk in the garden, so we recommend it. This is an area where you can take very nice photos.
