Shanghai Mansion
Shanghai Mansion in the central area of Bangkok’s Chinatown. The front contains Red Rose, a Chinese restaurant and jazz lounge introduced in the Michelin Guide.
The back side of the restaurant is the Shanghai Mansion Hotel.
Due to its prime location in Chinatown, the area around the hotel is the lively part of Chinatown. The interior of the hotel retains an old-fashioned mansion style that makes you feel like you’ve traveled back in time, and you can enjoy the world of a foreign country.
Suite Room
I stayed in room 305 of the Shanghai Mansion, a suite room.
The guest rooms on the floor are based on red exterior and yellow interior, and are divided into a living area, a bed, and a bathtub area, which is more than enough to be considered in Chinatown.
The bathtub is in the center of the room, so it’s more for couples than for family and friends.

The courtyard on the 3rd floor is very nice, and there are chairs and tables in front of each room, with an old-fashioned Shino style design. The decoration inside the hotel is too nice and photogenic.
Superior Room
It’s such a nice guest room that I visited other types of rooms.
Superior Room is located on the 4th floor of Shanghai Mansion. It is the most standard room type, but the color of the room is red and it is a very cute color.
The windows are stained glass and colorful.
The bed with the canopy frame has an impact on the room.
The bathroom has only a shower, but you can be satisfied with the lovely room and this price range.
Red Rose
Red Rose is a Chinese restaurant listed in the Michelin Guide on the 1st and 2nd floors of Shanghai Mansion.
Red Rose is an innovative restaurant serving traditional Chinese cuisine in a fusion style. It is a restaurant where you can experience and enjoy many dishes like a performance.

Everything is delicious and all are wonderful. It was a dinner where I enjoyed both Chinese food and space. I was impressed that it was a restaurant listed in the Michelin Guide.
Breakfast @Red Rose
Breakfast at Shanghai Mansion is currently served at Red Rose. The breakfast style is a mixture of order style and buffet style. You order the main dish, but you can have bread, fruits, etc. in a buffet style.
If you stay at the Shanghai Mansion, you should try the Dim Sum style breakfast.
It is highly recommended because you can enjoy authentic Chinese food in a bamboo basket from the morning.
Recommended Photo Spots
The courtyard is a must-see place. The second floor is yellow, and the third floor and above are red.
The paintings on display were very novel and wonderful.
The reception is also a recommended photo spot.
Summery of Shanghai Mansion
Shanghai Mansion is a nice hotel. Since it is located in Chinatown, there is no swimming pool, but the courtyard and corridors on each floor of the hotel are very novel and photogenic.
A hotel that makes you want to go home once you stay. Next time I would like to stay in a different type of room.
