JW Marriott Khao Lak
JW Marriott Khao Lak has a great beachfront location. This is a wonderful hotel where you can get away from your daily life, feel the nature and really relax in the tropical Thai sunshine.

I would recommend this resort to everyone, couples, families and friends.

JW Marriott Khao Lak is the perfect resort experience with Southeast Asia’s longest 2.4km swimming pool and new aqua play zone, 11 excellent restaurants and bars and a pristine beach.

And with the magical crimson sunsets, JW Marriott’s incredible hotel facilities and the natural beauty of Khao Lak.
Lagoon Deluxe Pool Access Room
The Lagoon Axel Room is JW Marriott Khao Lak’s most popular room type and is a lovely space with access to the pool from the room.

There are several types of pool access, including a type that leads directly to the pool from the balcony, and a type that leads to the pool through the garden. In particular, the rooms where children can stay have a secure door, and safety is taken into consideration.

It is no exaggeration to say that the entire hotel is a pool, so it is a wonderful room where you can go out from the balcony of your room into the pool, go around the pool and come back to your room. In particular, guests in pool access rooms can use the beach chairs in their rooms instead of the beach chairs outside, so the biggest point is that they can enjoy the pool on a room basis.

In the family type room, the sofa can be quickly transformed into a sofa bed, making it perfect for children.

With a king size bed and a twin type, the refurbished rooms are sophisticated and very comfortable.

The bed is equipped with a large sofa, chair, and beach chair on the balcony.

The bathroom is also large and comfortable. The water temperature was adjusted and the water flow was good, and it was always a comfortable space even if the family used the bathroom in turn.

There is also a bathtub, so you can rest your tired body. The hot water pooled quickly, and it didn’t take long for the bath to fill with hot water. The temperature is also always comfortable.

Cleaning also enters the room twice a day. It’s a really great service because you can replenish water and change towels as needed.
It was a really comfortable 3 nights stay.
Olive (first day dinner)
If you want to enjoy Italian food, olives are recommended for dinner time. You can enjoy traditional and authentic Italian with olives. Please note that this restaurant is only open at night, so it is not open during lunch hours. The chef’s recommended pizza is also recommended, but whichever you choose is delicious!

The portions are large, so even if a small child shares it with an adult, it is enough to eat.

Appetizers, pasta, pizza, and main dishes are abundant. Because it was 3 nights, I could only use it once, but it is a highly recommended restaurant.

Waterfront (2nd~4th day breakfast)

The waterfront, which serves as the breakfast venue, is a wonderful restaurant with a panoramic view of the Andaman Sea. Enjoy an international buffet. You can also have a casual lunch here. It’s open from 6:30 to 11:00, so it can get very busy at late hours. After 9:30 is the peak time, so if you want to relax, we recommend going early in the morning.

There is a wide variety of items on the menu that change every day, so you can enjoy it even if you stay for several days.

Breakfast at JW Marriott is really international and delicious from the morning.
The order-style egg menu is a standard recommendation.

The pancakes that you can arrange in your own style at the bakery were also very delicious.
I was very satisfied with the variety of cold cuts, fruits, and single dishes.
Splashes and Thrills at the Aqua Play Zone

JW Marriott Khao Lak has the longest swimming pool in Southeast Asia. The total length of 2.4 km is really long. The resort is connected by a lagoon. After breakfast, the JW Marriott boasts a pool.

There is an aqua kids zone where children can play endlessly, and it is a recommended resort for families with trampolines, wave pool, and a slide. I was surprised because I had never seen a pool in a hotel that big!

Beach chairs are lined up on the poolside according to the area. There is also a rental towel for the pool, and water is also placed.

Looking from the lobby, the area directly in front is the adult area for those aged 12 and over.
Both sides are areas for children.

Areas with darker blue tiles in the pool have deeper water, while areas with lighter blue tiles are shallow waters suitable for children. It’s clearly color-coded, so it’s easy to understand, and it’s a great exercise to move around while swimming in a huge pool.

Full Board package
Actually, this time I stayed with a package with full board.
Assuming that you will be swimming in the hotel, I think it makes sense to purchase a full board (3 meals included) or half board (2 meals included) package when booking the hotel.

Swimming in the pool will make you hungry, so having lunch and dinner at the hotel is very convenient. Moreover, by paying for the meal in advance, it is much more profitable than ordering directly on site. I thought that the next time I would use it, I would definitely make a package with a meal.

All meals during your stay, including the restaurant you used from last night, will be paid for in advance. For dinner, you can order one appetizer, one main dish, one dessert, and a soft drink from the menu. Lunch will be a choice of 1 item + soft drink.
Depending on the restaurant, there may be additional charges depending on the menu, but I think it’s a very good system.
Kids Ritual at Sala

Sala Restaurant offers a children’s program every day at 11:00.
Children can also participate in making mocktails and cupcakes, so you can enjoy a valuable experience. A kids program that is important for those who are choosing hotels with children in mind.

JW Marriott offers a wide range of programs, so it is recommended for families.

There is always some kind of activity going on at various locations throughout the day.

Among them, there are activities in the restaurant in the center of the pool where you can make sweets and drinks by yourself, so even children in the upper grades of elementary school will be satisfied.

Advance reservation is required, so be sure to make a reservation!

Sala

SALA, the main restaurant in the Waterplay Zone.

It is a restaurant where you can have lunch and light meals between pool activities.

From western food to Thai food.
There are beach mats and parasols on the poolside, and a stylish air-conditioned space in the room.

Ta-Krai (2nd day dinner)

Takrai is the Thai word for lemongrass. The elegant and easy-to-eat Thai cuisine inspired by southern Thai cuisine is very popular. You can enjoy fresh Thai cuisine using herbs grown in JW Garden.

Everything is delicious with authentic Thai food, so I would like you to try the Thai restaurant Takai at least once during your stay.

You can also adjust the spiciness, and Thai dance will be included depending on the day of the week.

Bamboo Shark Nursery
There is a bamboo shark nursery whose population has decreased due to postpartum decline.

They are protected from eggs and released into the sea when they reach a size of about 5 months old. Bamboo sharks can be observed in different tanks for each age.

The state of the eggs is constantly monitored by cameras, and you can observe the state of the eggs even in the hotel lobby. It seems that two sharks hatched in the morning on this day, and they were swimming well.

There is also a souvenir shop where you can donate by purchasing.
Kids Activities& Magic man

JW Marriott Khao Lak has plenty of activities for kids. I participated in a Muay Thai class out of many programs.

And magician appears in the resort every Wednesday to Sunday!
Magic shows and workshops are held at restaurants and kids clubs in the resort, so please catch a magician!
My daughter also participated in the workshop and practiced magic.
Sakura (3rd day dinner)

Sakura is the Japanese restaurant at JW Marriott Khao Lak. There are two counters, one for teppanyaki and one for sushi bar, and chefs trained at Benihana can put on magician-like shows. Nice restaurant with entertainment if you request a fire.

Teppanyaki is definitely recommended. Even ingredients that are often eaten become very delicious when the chef grills them on the iron plate. Not only a fire show, but also a magician of taste. As expected of the chef! I can’t imitate such delicious teppanyaki by myself.
And the creative sushi rolls were also very good.
Washoku is definitely the place to go when you want to soothe your stomach after a long trip.

Summary of JW Marriott Khao Lak
Recommended for those who want to enjoy the resort feeling in the hotel!

Our extensive kids program is a powerful ally for family-friendly stays.
This is a hotel that you should visit with your family at least once. And once you visit, there is no doubt that you will become a repeater!
