Movenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok

We stayed in a renovated family suite!
This wonderful resort is a hidden gem, located in the Sukhumvit area, the heart of Bangkok.

The hotel is on the top five floors, making it a spacious resort-style hotel, rare in Bangkok. There are 211 rooms in total, and tranquility is maintained. As a wellness resort, the hotel is fully equipped with a running track, spa, fitness center, sauna, and pool, and rooms are equipped with yoga mats, balance balls, and poles, making it the perfect hotel for the health-conscious.

Family Suite

This room can accommodate up to four guests, with the sofa converting into a bed. Divided into two rooms, a living area and a bed area, it’s ideal for families.
If you don’t need two beds, you can use the sofa as a living area + bedroom. If you want to use it as two bedrooms, you can convert the sofa into a bed.
It has an open balcony, creating an open feeling. The bathroom is also spacious, and with a bathtub, it’s a relaxing room.
Another recommended feature for families is the separate toilet from the bathroom.

The bedding is comfortable, and the sofa bed mattress is a memory foam mattress, so even children are guaranteed a good night’s sleep.

Be Well Spa

If you’re staying at the Movenpick, the spa treatments are a must-try.
I received a 60-minute aroma oil massage, and it was an absolutely amazing experience.

The service from the spa reception was 5-star, and it was a truly blissful experience.
The therapist, Mona, is highly experienced. She focused on the areas I wanted massaged, according to my requests.
The consultation was also impeccable.
The treatment room features state-of-the-art acoustics and a heating system on the treatment table, so my body was warm during the massage. The massage oil was warm, and they even placed cushions behind my knees.

Every area I wanted was massaged, and it was a truly relaxing hour.

Afternoon Tea Time

This is my top recommendation for afternoon tea in Bangkok.
This afternoon tea served in the lounge is well-balanced and every bite is delicious.
The staff provided thorough explanations and even guided me through the order of meals, providing friendly service.
It had been a while since I’d had afternoon tea, and I couldn’t help but say “delicious!” over and over again.
The Flavors of Siam Afternoon Tea is available daily from 12:00 to 5:00 PM, but reservations are required. Be sure to make a reservation and try it on the weekend!

Afternoon tea is served in the Bittersweet Lounge.

This lounge doubles as an executive club and is accessible only when you reserve a suite. It offers coffee and drinks throughout the day, an afternoon tea set from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, and evening cocktails from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. This club lounge is recommended for those looking to fully enjoy their stay.

Khum Hom

Khum Hom is the signature Thai restaurant at Mövenpick BDMS. We offer a wide selection of traditional Thai dishes, perfect for anyone looking to savor the flavors of Thailand. Enjoy delicious Thai cuisine with a truly magical experience. If you’re unsure how to order, please ask our friendly staff. They’ll recommend items from the menu for you. Experience unforgettable Thai cuisine at Khum Hom.

As a wellness resort, I was surprised to see calorie counts listed on the Thai menu. It’s rare for calorie counts to be listed on menus in Thailand, so this is truly a wellness resort experience.

Nourish Restaurant

Nourish, the breakfast venue and all-day dining restaurant, is located in an open atrium. Its location is perfect for a breakfast venue, and professional staff will be happy to assist you. The breakfast menu is characterized by its wide variety and healthy selection of dishes.

Strolling around the hotel

The hotel is home to two peacocks from Sukhothai Zoo, and unlike most Bangkok hotels, it’s filled with greenery. While Bangkok is home to many high-rise hotels, I found it rare to find a hotel in the Sukhumvit area with such spacious grounds and ample space.
This tranquil wellness resort is highly recommended for families and couples looking for a relaxing vacation in Bangkok.
The garden also features a 200-meter running track, so you can even enjoy a jog within the hotel.
The building is beautiful, and the layout is a must-see for photography lovers.
The Wellness Wing was so beautiful that I ended up staying there for 30 minutes.

Chocolate Hour

This is a signature event at the Swiss hotel Mövenpick.
Mövenpick BDMS hosts Chocolate Hour every day from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
This chocolate buffet is open to all hotel guests and is a must-try for chocolate lovers. With a wide variety of chocolates on offer, it’s a fun event to attend every day.
