It’s a 10-minute drive from Patong Beach, opposite Tri Trang Beach is Merlin Beach. Only Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa Merlin Beach is built as hotel on Merlin Beach, so it is a beach with a lot of private feeling.
It feels like a hotel is completely on the beach.A feature of Marriott Merlin is that it is a very large hotel!The hotel has 3 pools, 4 buildings and a large garden.
Recommended beachfront ocean view room
Marriott Merlin faces the sea, so the beachfront room is the place to go.The room on the first floor allows you to go out to the beach from the room.The rooms on the second floor and above have high visibility and a wonderful view.There is nothing to block in front of the room, and the view of Merlin Beach is extravagant.
This time I stayed at the corner suite on the elite floor.
Both the bedroom and the living room face the beach side, and the balcony with a good view enhances the feeling of a tropical resort. I was very impressed with the wonderful scenery.
I think this room is really nice for a honeymoon.
And the big bathroom is also nice. The bathtub is on the window side, allowing light to enter.
I was surprised at the large mirror dresser. There are also comfortable chairs on a large table, and the quality of the dressing table, which is important for women, is important. The changing area where the door closes is also easy to use and has a high point structure.
The recommended points of Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa and Merlin Beach are not only spacious but also easy to use.The guest room was recently refurbished, but it has a lot of traditional Thai style, and it has a nice atmosphere of calm wood and luxurious color.
Lunch @ Beach Grill Restaurant
For lunch after check-in, I ordered Esan food(North east thaifood).It is delivered in a basket style, so it is very beautifully presented and photogenic.
The restaurant is located on the beach and is open for lunch and dinner. If you stay at full boarding or half boarding, you can have lunch and dinner at this restaurant.
Also accessible from the poolside, it is in the center of the hotel and is always a busy place.
Although it is an open-air seat, the sea breeze is comfortable during the day and the shade is well maintained, so it is ideal for using the restaurant as a resting place for playing in the sea or playing in the pool.
3 pools and 1 beach at Marriott Merlin
Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa Merlin Beach has 3 large pools and 1 beach.
Accommodation buildings are lined up to surround each pool. There is a pool access room around the waterfall pool, so you can jump into the pool from your own room.
The main pool and kids pool are open pools with beach access.
Each pool is a wonderful pool, and you can change the location every day to enjoy a different atmosphere, so it is a really recommended pool resort.
Happy Hour at Poolside Bar!
Marriott Merlin is happy hour from 2am to 4pm. When you’re by the pool, you’ll miss a cold drink because of the strong sunlight. I am happy that happy hour is set during the hottest hours.
Mocktail and Tapas in the evening
Marriott Merlin is recommended to aim for the sunset at the Rum shack. We recommend having a beer, wine or cocktail while enjoying the changing colors of the sunset sky.
For those who are not good at drinking, there is also a non-alcoholic mocktail, so you can order with confidence. We enjoyed the sunset time by the beach while pinching delicious mocktail and tapas.
Seafood buffet
You can eat seafood buffet at Saturday Night. Here you can fully enjoy the fresh seafood of the Andaman Sea. Currently, it is a big promotion, and it is 999B per person.
Rock lobster, mussels, king prawns and oysters are recommended.
In addition to seafood BBQ, there are Thai food, bread, salad, etc., so you can enjoy a wide variety of meals.
It’s a great deal to have 999B for a relaxing time at this location.
Breakfast @ Merchant Restaurant
Breakfast is served at the poolside restaurant. You can choose between open-air seats and air-conditioned indoor seats.
Each station is indoors, so if you want to bring some food, we recommend indoor seats.
As it is an international buffet with a large selection, you can enjoy a lot of items from the morning.
From royal egg dishes to American breakfast, bakery, waffles & pancakes, salads, cold cuts, cereals, fruits, Thai ramen, porridge, Thai dishes, Chinese-style donut demonstrations and a wide variety of products.
I enjoyed it with my eyes, but it is a recommended breakfast that is delicious even if I eat it.
For those who want to relax in the room in the morning, it is recommended to order breakfast at the in-room dining.
Breakfast on the bed is very luxurious.
It is also recommended to have a view of the sea on the balcony.
Pool Access Room
I visited the pool access room as the next room I was interested in.
Pool access rooms are booked in the Namtok Pool (waterfall pool) building.
Only the Namtok pool is surrounded by guest rooms, and the atmosphere is a bit different from the main pool. There is an adult atmosphere.
The number of pool access rooms is quite limited compared to the total number of rooms in the hotel, so it is recommended to book early.
The large bathroom with bathtub is in front of you when you enter the entrance and is a pool access room with a large balcony. The area is 41㎡, so it is large enough.
The Spa
Marriott Merlin includes The Spa. In addition to authentic treatments in the air-conditioned treatment room, we also offer foot massage, head movement & bag massage by the pool.
This time I received The Spa’s signature massage.
This spa treatment is ideal for relaxing stiffness with a stronger massage than aromatherapy massage.
The environment in the treatment room is in place and you can comfortably receive spa treatments.
Lunch @phuketwalk-com Beach Grill
It’s a second day for lunch at Beach Grill. I had pasta. You can choose the lunch time from the Thai menu and the Western-style menu.
Lunch with a view of Merlin Beach is the best.
