【The JW Garden - JW Marriott Khao Lak】Hotel Review-Family Lagoon Pool Access

We stayed at JW Marriott Khao Lak for the first time in a year.
This time I stayed to enjoy the newly opened The JW Garden.
Until now, JW Garden had a small garden on the hotel grounds that provided fresh herbs, but the newly opened garden is located on a 27-acre area behind the hotel grounds.

Ms. JOY, an environmental protection activist, is stationed at JW Garden and will explain about JW Garden and the nature and environment of Khao Lak.

The hotel’s activities include the JW Garden Experience Tour, which is held every morning except Tuesdays. First of all, if you take this JW Garden experience tour, you will be able to understand the concept of JW Garden and what it has to offer, and then you will be able to enjoy it even more when you visit on your own during your stay.

It was created with the theme of nature and environmental circulation, making full use of the nature of Khao Lak. They are very particular about this, not cutting down a single tree, making use of nature as it is, and focusing on regeneration and new environmental circulation.
We are working on Nipa Palm and mangrove tree restoration projects. There are lobsters in Khao Lak’s wetlands, who dig up the soil and make it easier for Nipa Palm and mangrove forests to take root. We help create an environment where forests can naturally regenerate and expand by taking advantage of natural cycles.

Black shells live in the waterways in the garden, and black shells = proof of fresh water.
Even if you stay in Khao Lak, where the vast nature still remains, you will generally enjoy resort life in the beautifully maintained gardens within the hotel, or step into a mangrove forest where nature remains untouched. I don’t have many opportunities to do so, but by visiting JW Garden this time, I was able to see the true nature of Thailand, and I was able to spend a very meaningful time experiencing it. JW Khao Lak is recommended for free research during summer vacation.

Tropical Agriculture grows over 45 types of fruits, vegetables, and herbs, which are served at the hotel’s restaurant. The farm has two water buffaloes, three goats, over 300 chickens and 50 ducks. Fresh eggs are harvested daily in the cage-free chicken coop, and you can order omelets and fried eggs at the breakfast venue.

In the evening, there is also a children’s activity where you can try feeding the animals.
This event is held every day, so families with children are welcome to participate. There are always energetic goats jumping around to greet you.
Water buffalo are very docile and gentle.

Lagoon Escape, an activity for adults, involves kayaking in the mangrove stream at JW Garden.
Paddle a clear kayak through a natural stream. It was an experience of rowing through a mangrove forest in a wetland that is rarely seen, and I was moved by the unfamiliar scenery.

There are also programs such as early morning yoga to experience and enjoy the nature of JW Garden, and evening bird watching. Please come and join us.
You can also enter the garden at any time, so you can freely use it as a walking or running course.

Family Lagoon Pool Access Room

We stayed in the Family Lagoon pool access room.
In addition to the main bed, there are two sofas and a day bed, which can be used as a sofa bed for children at night, and can accommodate up to three children under the age of 12. This room is perfect for families.

The bathtub, shower, and toilet are separate, luxurious, and comfortable to use.
There are private chairs by the pool where you can enjoy your tan. Of course, being able to dive directly into the pool is also attractive.

Olive＆The Famous Sunset BBQ

If you want to enjoy Italian food, we recommend olives at dinner time. You can enjoy traditional and authentic Italian food with Olive. We also recommend the chef’s recommended pizza, but whatever you choose is delicious!

The Famous Sunset BBQ Buffet is held only on Saturdays, and you can enjoy fresh seafood, premium meat BBQ grills, and a wide variety of Italian dishes. There are more than 20 types of cheese, and it’s a Saturday night full of Italian cuisine. You can enjoy delicious desserts.

The olive salad was so fresh that I wondered why the vegetables were so delicious, and as expected, they used freshly picked vegetables from JW Garden.
Furthermore, leftover bread from the restaurant is used as feed for the chickens in JW Garden,helping to maintain a clean circulation.

Waterfront

The waterfront breakfast venue is a wonderful restaurant with a panoramic view of the Andaman Sea. You can enjoy an international buffet. You can also have a casual lunch here.
There is a JW Garden Corner in the breakfast venue, where you can eat vegetables and eggs grown at JW Garden. The chef will make omelets and fried eggs on the spot.
Fresh salads are also recommended.

Sala

SALA is the main restaurant located in the water play zone.
This is a restaurant where you can have lunch or snacks in between playing pool games.
We have everything from Western food to Thai food.

It is convenient because you can stay in your swimsuit while sitting on the terrace by the pool. You can also order from your mobile phone by reading the QR code.

The Deli

If you would like to try the cafe menu, we recommend the deli located directly below the reception.
Light snacks such as danishes, cakes, cookies, chocolates, salads, wraps, and pies are available. We have a wide variety of drinks, including protein shakes, vitamin-packed smoothies, and coffee and tea menus.
This is the cafe you should go to when you’re hungry.
It is also open as a convenience store, selling insect repellent, drinks, and sunscreen. If you’re missing something, try the deli first.

Inside JW Marriott Khao Lak

JW Marriott Khao Lak has a huge pool and the hotel is very well equipped.
Enjoy an elegant stay at the hotel.
I was able to take a walk around the hotel every morning, and it was a very pleasant morning.

We also recommend visiting during sunset.

The garden is full of greenery. Each area is connected by a pool, so you can stroll around the grounds while swimming.

JW Marriott Khao Lak has a lot to offer, with an adult zone and a splash zone for kids.
