The Okura Prestige Bangkok

It’s the first Japanese Hotel in Bangkok
The Okura Prestige Bangkok, a Japanese hotel in Bangkok, is a hotel where you can fully enjoy the atmosphere of Japan while staying in Thailand.
Don’t miss this opportunity as we are currently promoting a great package including hotel credits for Thai residents!
I have stayed for 2 nights as a staycation.
Guest Room at The Okura Prestige

We booked a room in the corner and stayed there. This room is a nice room with a bathtub in the city view.

It’s a happy moment to stay in such a nice room and have a view of the city of Bangkok.
In the corner room, the bed was on the window side and the morning sun was shining in, so I could see the morning sun from the bed. The room also has a TOTO bidet toilet, making it a comfortable guest room.

There is also a tea set unique to Japan, where you can enjoy tea. Besides bathrobes, there are also Japanese style yukatas. It’s really rare included Yukatas among overseas hotels and are very popular with Thai guests.

Enchanted Afternoon Tea

Afternoon tea served at the popular restaurant Up & Above restaurant on the Okura Prestige is so popular that many guests visit even on weekdays.

It’s an afternoon tea in a nice white box, so you can tell at a glance that it’s Okura’s afternoon tea. When you open the drawer, sweets are lined up inside, and you can enjoy a very gorgeous time.

The sweets also incorporate Japanese taste, so it is an afternoon tea that matches the taste of Japanese people. This time it was the autumn version. It was very cute and delicious.
Cocktail time is also recommended

Up & Above is also recommended during the evening hours. There are outside seats where you can have a drink while gazing at the city view. Up & Above is often used at parties, so if you want a seat outside, we recommend you to make a reservation.

Umeshu is placed at the bar counter, which is also a chance to feel Japan. In addition to plum wine, I ordered a comparison of Japanese sake drinkers. The bar where sake is placed is rare, and you can order sake at the hotel lounge because there is a Japanese restaurant Yamazato unique to Okura.

It is an Okura where you can fully enjoy Japanese while staying in Thailand.
Breakfast in The Okura

Okura’s breakfast can be selected from two restaurants. Up & Above is for those who want a Western buffet style, and Yamazato is for those who want Japanese food.

Since I stayed for 2 nights, I was thinking of using one place at a time, but in the end I had it in Yamazato for both days. It is a nice place for Japanese people to have a pure Japanese breakfast from the morning. It seems to be popular with Thai guests who like Japanese food. The atmosphere was that many Europeans used Western food.

For breakfast in Yamazato, you can choose whether the main is fish (salmon or mackerel) or chicken.

And you can choose from natto, shirasu, vegetable salad as a side dish, egg grilled or hot spring egg, rice can be selected from white rice, rice porridge, chicken cooked rice, miso soup, simmered dish, pickles, fruit and coffee after meals will arrive. When you stay at Okura with a fairly authentic set, we would like you to have a Japanese breakfast. It’s an Okura that is sure to repeat when I go to eat this breakfast again.
Yamazato at lunch time

Yamazato is open not only for dinner but also for lunch. Since it is a mountain village that is also listed in Michelin, dinner will jump to a fairly good price, but like a Japanese hotel, lunch is offered at a very good price, so it is also recommended to use lunch!

I ordered seasonal kaiseki, sushi kaiseki, and salmon set.

Seasonal kaiseki is gorgeous in appearance and has a large number of items. It was a lunch that I couldn’t help but wonder where to start.

Sushi Kaiseki is a recommended menu for sushi lovers. There is also a sushi set, which may be even more worrisome, but sushi kaiseki is recommended for a luxurious meal.

The set was ordered for children, but it was more than enough for adults. If you usually have lunch, I think you can enjoy it as much as you can change at the set.

Kaiseki is divided into one set (appetizer) and two sets (main dish). You can enjoy authentic Japanese food while you are in Thailand, so if you are a little tired of Thai food, Yamazato is perfect. It is close to the Siam area and directly connected to BTS Prunchit Station, so you can visit Yamazato for lunch only.
Lunch is also quite crowded, so don’t forget to book.
Infinity Pool at The Okura

Speaking of Okura’s pool, this pool floats in the air. The Park Hyatt Hotel view is opposite from the pool. The skyscraper building and the pool of Okura are integrated to create a fantastic view unique to the city.

It was so nice that it was the first time for me to have such a nice pool. It is a wonderful pool during the sunrise time, daytime, and night view.
Summary of The Okura Prestige

Okura, where you can fully feel Japan while staying in Thailand, is a hotel that is popular not only with Japanese but also with Thais. The guest rooms, pool, restaurant (Yamazato), afternoon tea, and bar lounge are all places where you can feel Japan and add value with excellent service. This is a hotel I definitely want to stay at.
